These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of plumbing services provided by Plumbing at Its Finest (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

Services Provided

Plumbing at Its Finest provides licensed plumbing, gas fitting, drainage, and hot water system services to residential and commercial properties in Frankston and surrounding areas. All work is performed by licensed professionals in accordance with Victorian plumbing regulations and Australian Standards.

Quotes and Pricing

Service Call Fees

A service call fee applies to all call-outs and covers travel time and initial assessment. This fee is payable regardless of whether you proceed with the quoted work.

Quotes

Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotes are estimates based on the information available at the time of inspection. Additional costs may apply if unforeseen issues are discovered during the work.

Payment Terms

Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, bank transfer, and electronic payment methods. For larger projects, we may require a deposit before commencing work.

Scheduling and Cancellations

We make every effort to arrive at scheduled appointment times. However, emergencies and unforeseen circumstances may occasionally cause delays. We will notify you as soon as possible if we cannot keep a scheduled appointment.

If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, please provide at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may incur a cancellation fee.

Access to Property

You are responsible for providing safe and clear access to the work area. This includes ensuring that pets are secured, parking is available for our vehicle, and the work area is accessible. If we are unable to access the work area, a return visit fee may apply.

Workmanship Warranty

We stand behind the quality of our work. All workmanship is warranted for a period of 12 months from the date of completion. This warranty covers defects in our workmanship but does not cover:

• Damage caused by misuse or neglect
• Normal wear and tear
• Issues resulting from work performed by others
• Problems arising from pre-existing conditions not disclosed at the time of service
• Manufacturer defects in supplied materials or equipment (covered under manufacturer warranties)

Limitation of Liability

While we take every precaution to protect your property, we cannot be held liable for:

• Pre-existing damage to property or infrastructure
• Damage to concealed services not identified during initial inspection
• Consequential losses arising from plumbing failures
• Delays caused by factors beyond our control

We maintain public liability insurance and professional indemnity insurance as required by Victorian regulations.

Emergency Services

Emergency plumbing services are provided subject to availability during business hours. After-hours emergency service may be available at premium rates. An emergency is defined as a situation causing immediate risk of property damage or loss of essential services (e.g., burst pipes, gas leaks, sewage backups).

Compliance and Licensing

All work is performed in accordance with:

• Victorian Building Authority (VBA) regulations
• Australian Plumbing Standards (AS/NZS 3500)
• Energy Safe Victoria requirements (for gas work)
• Local council requirements

Compliance certificates are provided where required by law. Our license number is 38374.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern about our services, please contact us immediately. We will make every effort to resolve the issue promptly and fairly. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, you may seek assistance from:

• Consumer Affairs Victoria
• Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT)
• Victorian Building Authority (VBA)

Privacy

Your personal information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and the Australian Privacy Principles.

Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to our website. Your continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of any modified Terms.
